Hill House -  A planning application has been submitted for this residential project in South London. The proposed design seeks to take advantage of the unique views that the site offers, by placing a new inhabitable roof on top of the existing one-storey bungalow. The shape of the roof was generated ‘sculpting’ a double pitched volume covering the entire footprint of the existing building, to maximize views and minimize the impact on the the adjacent houses. The main structure of the roof, developed in collaboration with Michael Hadi Associates, comprises a series of laminated timber portal frames spanning full width to create an open plan living area.
